Board Member Spotlight – Jenny Juchtzer

Healthcare in Nevada. What You Need to Know Right Now: A Conversation with Jenny Juchtzer

At ACCESS Health Network, we are proud to work alongside leaders who are helping shape the future of healthcare in our community. This month, we’re highlighting Jenny Juchtzer, Vice President of Payer Contracting at Renown Health and a valued ACCESS Board Member.

With nearly two decades at Renown, Jenny brings deep expertise in healthcare strategy, partnerships, and access to care making her an important voice as the healthcare landscape continues to evolve.

Healthcare today is facing growing challenges both in Nevada and across the country.

“Healthcare is expensive, and rising costs in supplies and labor are making it difficult for providers to cover costs,” Jenny shares. “At the same time, there are shortages of providers across the country, and Nevada is no exception. This makes it challenging to ensure our community has access to the services they need.”

These challenges highlight the need for continued innovation and strong community partnerships to ensure patients can get the care they need.

What to Know About Medicaid Changes

With ongoing discussions around potential Medicaid changes in the coming years, many community members are understandably concerned.

“There are a lot of unknowns related to upcoming changes for Medicaid,” Jenny explains, “but our community should know that we remain focused on ensuring access to high-quality and affordable care.”

Healthcare organizations are actively preparing for the future, with a continued commitment to serving those who rely on these essential programs.

Expanding Access Through Partnership

One of the most exciting developments in Northern Nevada healthcare is the partnership between Renown Health and Kaiser Permanente an effort that signals a major step forward for the region.

“This joint venture brings together two nonprofit organizations with a shared purpose of providing value-based care to more people,” Jenny says. “Together, we can expand access, choice, and innovative health coverage services for Nevadans.”

Through this partnership, Renown and Kaiser Permanente are working to build a more integrated, value-based care model focused on delivering higher quality care at a lower cost, while improving the overall patient experience. The collaboration is expected to increase access to coverage, strengthen the healthcare network, and provide more competitive, coordinated care options for individuals and families across Northern Nevada.

Bridging the Gap with ACCESS

Organizations like ACCESS Health Network continue to play a vital role in supporting individuals and families without traditional insurance.

“ACCESS helps bridge the gap for community members who might otherwise not seek preventive care,” Jenny shares. “Without that access, we often see a sicker population overall.”

By making healthcare more affordable and accessible, ACCESS is helping build a healthier Nevada.

Looking Ahead

As healthcare continues to change, one thing remains clear the importance of working together.

“Healthcare is continually evolving, and now more than ever, nonprofit partners need to come together to keep patients and community members at the center of our mission,” Jenny emphasizes.

Through collaboration, innovation, and a shared commitment to the community, organizations like Renown Health and ACCESS are helping shape a stronger, more accessible future for all.
