Women's Health Connection: breast and cervical cancer screening + more diagnostic services for women

The Women’s Health Connection (WHC) program provides breast and cervical cancer screening and diagnostic services to low-income women who are uninsured and ineligible for health insurance. Thanks to the generosity of WHC providers, Nevada women who meet certain qualifications may be eligible to receive free cervical and breast cancer screenings at no charge.

Who is WHC for:

  • Women who are uninsured and underinsured
  • Members must be a Nevada resident
  • Must meet these income guidelines

What does it provide:

Below is a summary of the free screening services that are available to Nevada women.

  • Cervical services age 21-29  years old:
  • Annual pelvic exam
  • Pap test
  • Diagnostic services after an abnormal screening result
  • Referral for treatment
  • Cervical services age 30-64  years old:
  • Annual pelvic exam
  • Pap test or co-testing (Pap and HPV test) as recommended by the examining clinician
  • Diagnostic services after an abnormal screening result
  • Referral for treatment
  • Breast services age 40-49 years old:
  • Annual clinical breast exam
  • Diagnostic services after an abnormal screening result
  • Referral for treatment
  • Breast services age 50 and older:
  • Annual clinical breast exam
  • Annual screening mammogram
  • Diagnostic services after an abnormal screening result
  • Referral for treatment
