Patient Care Fund – Finding more healthcare resources for those in need.

The Patient Care Fund (PCF) was established in 2007 to provide financial assistance to Access to Healthcare Medical Discount members who are unable to completely pay for their healthcare needs. Even at our discounted rates, our families may not have the financial means to cover the cost of care.

The formation of the Patient Care Fund has allowed Access to Healthcare to form partnerships with various funding sources ranging from the State of Nevada and the Ryan White fund to Susan G. Komen Foundation and Nevada Women’s Fund. These funds subsidize up to 50% of the cost of our discounted healthcare rates for specific populations or designated illnesses.

For instance, a woman diagnosed with breast cancer can access financial assistance from the Patient Care Fund to pay for her course of treatment. Our rates for treatment, including screening, biopsy, oncology/surgical consult, surgery, hospital stay, chemotherapy and/or radiation treatment, averages a total of $7,000. The Patient Care Fund allows contribution dollars to go four and five times farther, enabling more low-income individuals and families to get life saving, life changing, and life enhancing access to healthcare.
