Trevor Rice, Chief Operating Officer

Trevor’s job as the Chief Operating Officer of Access to Healthcare Network is to ensure that day in and day out our organization brings a spirit of excellence to everything we do for both our members and our business partners. He understands that true quality and real innovation, especially in the ever changing healthcare industry comes from people who wake up every day inspired by the possibilities of what they can accomplish, are not afraid to take risks and have a real passion in making a profound difference in the lives of the people they serve. To this end, he believes his primary role is to ensure the culture of AHN remains strong, vibrant and committed to a set of values that foster an environment in which its employees can accomplish great things.

Trevor has worn many hats since joining AHN in early 2007, including leading the daily operations of the Medical Discount Plan, creating and implementing the Health Insurance Program and being the driving force behind our care management and clinical care coordination programs.

“I joined Access to Healthcare because I saw an organization that had a chance to have a real impact on the health and wellbeing of our community. I saw an organization that wasn’t afraid to take risks think outside the box, way outside the box, and do things no one else was doing.”

Trevor has more than 10 years of experience creating, implementing and operating programs in the healthcare and social service sector. He graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Public Health and Community Medicine, attended Medical School in Portland Oregon for a year before recognizing his heart wasn’t in direct service and is currently pursuing an MBA to further his education.

Emblematic of his desire to lead and impactful life, accomplish meaningful things and bring a little good to the community in which he lives Trevor is the recipient of the Truckee Meadows of Tomorrow Silver Star Award in 2009 as part of the Northern Nevada Bicycle Alliance and was honored by the Reno Gazette Journal as a 20 Under 40 Winner in 2013.

Trevor and his wife, Nicole, have a beautiful daughter named Liliana who they see as the absolute joy of their life. “I am inspired every day to do my best, be my best self and never stop the process of learning and growing because I know one day my daughter will look to me as an example for how to live a good life.”
