     What is Access to Healthcare Network?

 

            Access to Healthcare Network is a Network of hospitals and primary, specialty and ancillary health care providers generously offering their services to the working uninsured at a reduced fee.

             AHN is not health insurance and does make payments directly to providers; AHN members pay the reduced fee at the time services are provided.  AHN is a non-profit Medical Discount Plan registered with the State of Nevada, Division of Insurance.

             Modeled after nationally recognized programs in Arizona, Texas and Tennessee, AHN improves Nevada’s health care delivery system for businesses, employees, physicians, hospitals and the community at-large.

  

Why Should I Enroll My Employees In AHN?

 

As you know, health care costs for the uninsured are considerable.  You now have the opportunity to offer a health benefit to your hard-working valued employees.  Businesses can enroll their uninsured employees, and their dependents in AHN.  The return on investment for doing so is evident.

 How Much Does AHN Cost?

 

            AHN is a non-profit organization sustained by membership fees.  There is no registration fee charged to the employer for the purchasing of Network memberships.  The employer and the employee are required to pay a monthly membership fee, with the employer required to pay at least 50% of the monthly membership fee on behalf on the employee.

 

AHN Monthly Membership Fee Structure:

 

  • Individual employee monthly membership fee:$40                                            (at least $20 to be paid by employer)

 

  • Monthly membership fee for one dependent:$25                                                    (must include an individual membership as well- does not need to be paid by employer)

 

  • Monthly membership fee for unlimited number of dependents:$50                    (does not need to be paid by employer)

 

  • Monthly membership for dependent(s) only:$50                                                    (does not to have an individual membership- does not need to be paid by employer)

 

 

What Health Care Services Will My Employees Receive?

            At AHN we have a Network of hospitals, primary care, specialty care and other health care providers.  Providers refer within the Network, ensuring coordinated patient care.  Members have access to all Network providers and medical services at a discounted rate. How Does the Program Work?

 

            AHN members have access to the reduced fee for service Network of health care providers.  The members receive a membership card which should be presented at each health care visit.  The members pay for all health care services at the time the services are provided.  All AHN members are able to choose their preferred primary care provider from our list of participating providers, i.e. surgeon, must be made by referral from the member’s primary care provider ensuring continuation of care.

                       The program provides member care coordination focusing on education on medical office protocol, understanding the health care system and referrals for other issues such as housing and food assistance.

What are the Requirements for My Business and Employees?

 

Businesses

  • Business must be located and operate in the State of Nevada

  • Business must not have dropped or altered their health care insurance coverage within the past twelve months in order to offer AHN to their employees

  • Business may offer AHN to all employees currently not covered by health insurance including, full-time, part-time and flex-time employees and their dependents

  • AHN has no minimum participation requirements

  • Business must pay at least 50% of the affordable monthly membership fee on behalf of all participating employees.

  Employees

  • Working uninsured Nevada residents and their families

  • Unable to qualify for Medicaid, Medicare, or Nevada Check Up

  • Not covered by employer sponsored health insurance

  • Must meet the income eligibility guidelines, (see employee eligibility worksheet) and

  • Required to provide proof of income or payer source and Nevada Residency

 

  How Do I Enroll?

             We will make the enrollment process simple and easy for you and your employees by coming out to your place of business and walking you through the process of becoming an Access to Healthcare Network Member.  Once a member you will also have access to quality support for any questions you may have about the program.
